Cricket ClubStogumber Cricket Club was founded in 1875 and now boasts one of the best appointed grounds in the West Country. It runs two teams in the West Somerset League Gardening ClubThe Gardening Club meets, normally on the first Thursday on the month, for talks on a variety of gardening topics, and arranges visits. It also hosts the annual Stogumber Show. Annual membership is £7 (£10 from September 2007), but visitors are always welcome (£2 entry). It meets, normally on the second Tuesday in the month at Wick House at 8pm, for talks and discussions, and arranges visits. For more information please contact the chairman Brian Kirk (01984 656602). As its name suggests it normally meets on the afternoon of the fourth Thursday in the month, in Deane Close Common room. A varied programme of talks and visits is offered. Youth ClubThe Youth Club meets in the Village Hall from 7:00 - 8:30 on Mondays during term time. |
